Lineator™ AUSF
The Mirus Lineator™ Advanced Universal Sine-wave Filter (AUSF) is a wide-spectrum, low-pass output filter engineered to mitigate the severe destructive effects of pulse width modulation (PWM) of a variable frequency drive (VFD). It works by treating high-frequency switching harmonics, effectively converting the waveform into a near-sinusoidal output.
Technical Overview
The Lineator™ AUSF utilizes a rugged, passive architecture to reshape raw square-wave inverter outputs into smooth, utility-grade sinusoidal energy profiles.
- Minimizes harmonic losses and core heating within connected motors, extending the operational lifespan of the entire drive assembly.
- Operates at an exceptional system efficiency of greater than 99%.
- Improves the overall power factor of the induction motor to near unity while providing local reactive power compensation.
- Compatible with high-frequency operating conditions up to 400 Hz for specialized industrial processes.
Typical Applications
The Lineator™ AUSF series is specified for continuous-duty applications where adjustable speed drives are separated from motors by long cable distances or non-ideal grounding conditions.

Lineator™ AUSF Differential-Mode Filter
The foundational sine-wave filtration package providing full phase-to-phase waveform conditioning.
- Filters out high-frequency switching currents while allowing the lower fundamental operating frequencies to pass unobstructed.
- Prevents phase-to-phase transient overvoltages and protects winding insulation.
Inversine™ Common-Mode Choke Option
An advanced integrated upgrade designed to mitigate destructive phase-to-ground common-mode electrical currents.
- Drastically reduces shaft voltages and bearing currents to prevent premature mechanical bearing fluting and failure.
- Suppresses high-frequency cable leakage currents and lowers common-mode voltage stress across the entire facility ground loop.
